Latino Americans: 500 Years of History

Latino Americans – 500 Years of History is a national programming initiative sponsored by the American Library Association. It is designed to engage people in examining and documenting the histories of Latino Americans in their communities, and to foster understanding of local histories in regional, national and international contexts.  This exhibit will focus on Latino cultural and economic contributions to the culture, lifestyle and growth of communities over time throughout the Yakima Valley.

Yakima Valley Libraries is looking for photographs that tell the story of Yakima's Latino Americans. We are asking you to contribute the use of your photos (the original will be returned to you) for an exhibit that tells the story of Latino Americans who have been building lives and communities in the Yakima Valley.
